Dabu

A Splender river, a green border of trees, a small solitary island and a delicate atmosphere.

Situated on the bank of Matla River.......a nice spot to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and family.......A boat ride in the river is an additional attraction of the place.

How to reach

Option 1: Catch a train from Sealdah South Section to Canning. Journey of 45 minutes. From Canning, another 10 mins in auto or cycle-rickshaw.

Option 2: Two hours drive from Esplanade by bus to Baruipur. From there, another one hour drive.

Accommodation

Overnight stay possible if the irrigation bungalow is booked in advance from "Sech Bhawan" in Kolkata.

Thanks kol2012 to express the beauties of my school time picnic spot. I was there on '89 and '97. First time for a picnic and later for a Day trip with reserved auto from Baruipur. On that time the irrigation bungalow is not in the state for night staying. But it is a good news for us.
