Hi there

I have a fair bit of experience and qualifications in water supply and sanitation projects for poor areas and I would love to devote my career to working in India, especially related to santation. I plan to come to India on a years visa to try and ake that dream reality. If anyone knows of any organisations who are looking for volunteers I would love to hear from you and would generally love to hear from you if you are interested in similar ideas............

Water & sanitation project

You might want to contact these people.
They work with the caste that is dedicated to cleaning human waste.

I have the contact details of the people who run in, send me a PM.

Sanitation/Water projects

Excellent, 8 posts, two more to go!

Do you think you could set up compost toilets, train people how to make and use them and organise and train people in rainwater harvesting techniques?

The need is urgent.

Regards

Ecological sanitation, no problem, where abouts in India? Do you know what the Groundwater levels are in these areas?

Rainwater harvesting is a great technique, very clean end product as long as filtered and the roof is kept clean/free of animals/birds.

Is it 10 or 11???

Doc,

I think it will probably be in the Delhi area.

"Is it 10 or 11???" I have no idea.

I know some people who are trying to set up some projects in slums, they work with the poorest of the poor.
Non of us have ever done anything like this before, so we have to learn as we go along.

You have 9 posts, one more and we can PM.

The system merged your consecutive posts so you still have one to go.
