Places to volunteer near Delhi or Bodgaya

Hi, me and my boyfriend want to live in India for 4 months on a tight budget. Last time I did volunteer work at root institute and it worked out well. This time I was looking for something more hands on rather then sitting in an office so maybe something with an orphanage or animals. I would be willing to venture away from these cities a bit its just that I have friends in bodgaya and a guru in Delhi. We have teaching skills as well as working around food. I am passionate about helping children and any poor in need. Thanks for your suggestions. Namaste
