Interested in volunteer placement in India ( literacy, women, children also healthcare related) have stumbled across a u.k. Company called Destindia which claims to organize volunteer placements. Can find no review anywhere on this company, has anyone ever used or heard of it? I am somewhat leery of paying in order to volunteer.

A quick look at their web site and you pay 100 to 200 pounds a week, and their agenda seems to be to develop your skills set for your career advancement --very business focused--
--keep looking, their are hundreds of others, some might even be real charities that actually help people, as well as yourself.

This just lists organisations and comments from former volunteers and doesn't charge
