Hi, we are looking to get to agra from varanasi in the following days.
The trains are pretty full but we found some night buses going there including a company named "daily transport service" (dep. 20:00 arr. 04:00). It says it's an a/c 2+1 sleeper bus.
Did anyone used this company or any other sleeper bus to go from varanasi?
How was it? Is it a bearable option for us (foreign tourists hoping to sleep on the way) if we won't find a train ticket?
Thanks.

You will find Varanasi-Agra foreign tourist quota train tickets easily, just book them as soon as you arrive in India.

There is actually a Foreign Tourist Reservation office/counter at Varanasi itself (in case you did not mean that one anyhow, Newworld.)

Sleepers are just a waste of moolah. These buses while luxurious, the sleeper beds even in a smooth road are very bumpy and wobbly at best.

Really that's a bummer. One of my best buss rides in India ever was on a sleeper. In 2015 I got a mela charter buss from Nashik to Sikar for 750 rupees. It took 30 hours and I wasn't allowed to pay for so much as a pack of biscuits, I drank a little bit less bottled water than I should have because i couldn't purchase my own. And when I tried to order dal fry, that was scoffed at and supper was done up right. Everything was great until we hit that cow on the homestretch out of Jaipur, totally changed the mood.
As with everything YMMV. That being said I never sleep well in transit.

Alas, Hit that Cow! Gaurakshaks alert.

Try booking a Volvo or an AC Bus[Usually TATA] run by UPSRTC. They are good enough for over-nighters!
