Jageshwar is beautiful and has a nice history/story to it as well. Some consider it as one of the jyotirlings as well. Having said that general scenery is too good.
Also, try bura jageshwar if you are going there and have time.

"bura" jageshwar? "bad" jageshwar? what does it offer - more mountain scenery?

are there any hot/thermal springs in the area? does anyone know?

Bura not equal to bad. It means old.
It is on a hill top - so would have mountain views - unfortunately never been there myself but read about it.

It's bada Jageshwar, not bura! Also called Vriddh Jageshwar. Jageshwar is in a valley, so you only get good views of the deodhar forest there but from Vriddh Jageshwar you get good views of the mountains. As far as my knowledge goes there are no hot springs there.
