Hi,
I'm planning for a trip to "bhookh hartal" route on mid march. My initial plan was to cover madmaheswar, deoriataal and tungnath with my four friends. So I talked to Mr lakhpat singh negi on last week but he informed that there was no chance that we can make it to madmaheswar. Now the to and from date been finalized as 16th of March and 24th of March, which is howrah and haridwar respectively. After dropping madmaheswsr from the itinerary now our plan is like-
16th march: boarding upasana exp from Hwh
17th march: night stay at haridwar
18th march: night stay at ukhimath
19th march: night stay at deoriataal
20th march: night stay at chopta
21st march: night stay at tungnath after completing chandrashila trek/back to Chopta for night stay( if going to auli ) /back to duggulbhita night stay at pwd guest house ( if going to karthikswami)
So as you can see there are lot of if and but's and I'm totally confused with how to relocate these three days that we loose due to madmaheswar being not reachable.
Now the array of questions😊
1. Is it really not possible to reach madmaheswar during this time of calender?
2. The Snow condition???? Will it be motorable upto Chopta??? Or is it upto mukku bend?
3. Chandrashila doable??
4. Staying option in Chopta and tungnath?? "Chatti" will remain open??
5. Auli connected through gopeshwar-chamoli-joshimath road??
6. In case we are dumping Auli ( which is quite likely to gonna happen due to road connectivity ) which is the best place to spend a night a) duggulbhita, b) chandrapuri, c) syalsur? *my personal vote goes to duggulvita pwd rest house😃. But plz don't get biased.
7. I know it's very unfair to compare karthikswami with madmaheswar but still I would ask is that a worthy trek or not.
And if you have any other option in your mind plz let me know and I will plan aaccordingly.

Thanks and Regards,
Sushovan.
