We are a group of three families (six adults, no children) visiting Nainital, Ranikhet, Kausani and Almora for eight days from 27 August 2018 to 3rd September 2018. Would like to to know from members who have undertaken trips to this area

(a) the approximate cost per day of a 6+1 seater vehicle including driver's charges, etc; and

(b) whether at the end of August we may have at least some view of the Himalayas.

(c) If our programme, which is as under, is good or can be tweaked to include some other places like Mukteshwar. We can curtail one nght at Kausani and add it to Almora:

1st day : Arrive Nainital from Kathgodam by lunch time
2nd day &
3rd day : Local sightseeing, trip to the other lakes in the vicinity and other

4th day : Arrive Ranikhet by noon and spend the night there

5th day : Arrive Kausani by lunch time stay for two nights
6th day : Visit places around Kausani (Baijnath Temple, Rudrani Falls, etc.)

7th day : Arrive Almora by lunch time after visiting the Katarmal Sun Temple
en route.
Local sight seeing and night halt

8th day : Board train from Kathgodam in the afternoon.

Thanks in advance.

a.) I have used the services of one Mr. Rajesh in that region a few times in the past. You can inquire the current rates at 9411321071 or 9917159682. Sorry, I cannot tell you upfront as I've stopped renting after I bought my own car.
b.) Views? Definitely. Snow-clad? Not much white!
c.) If you're just going to add destinations (and the included attractions) to the list, then by all means go to Mukteshwar. If I were in your position, I'd rather keep it relaxed and avoid changing as many places/hotels. There is no big, must-do attraction in Mukteshwar and the place and weather is all the same in the region. So you can possibly avoid Mukteshwar on this trip. Unless, of course, you have your eyes set upon a particular destination in Mukteshwar.
