Kumaon Trip in February 2018- Help needed

Hi,

I am planning to visit Kumaon region & Lucknow with my wife during Feb 2018. Following is the itinerary I have thought of:-
10/2/2018- (Sat)-Morning Flight to Lucknow. Full day in Lucknow
11/2/2018- (Sun)- Full day tour in Lucknow. Train to Kathgodam @ 9.55pm.
12/2/2018- (Mon)- Reach Kathgodam @ 8am. Hire Taxi and travel to Kausani via Ranikhet ( ~5 hrs). Overnight in Kausani
13/2/2018- (Tue)- Kausani to Munsiyari (5.5hrs). Overnight in Munsiyari.
14/2/2018- (Wed)- Full day in Munsiyari.
15/2/2018- (Thur)- Munsiyari to Binsar( 6.5hrs). Overnight in Binsar.
16/2/2018- (Fri)- Morning departure to Nainital. (~2.5-3hrs). Full day in Nainital.
17/2/2018- (Sat) Full day sightseeing of Nainital.
18/2/2018- (Sun) Morning departure to Kathgodam. 8.45am Train to Delhi. Reach Delhi in 5.5-6hrs. Evening flight to Bangalore.
I have the following queries:-
1) Is the above itinerary doable? If not, kindly suggest an alternative.
2) Can I avail the train from Kathgodam to Lucknow at 10pm on 17th Feb after completing Nainital sightseeing. That way I can catch a flight back to Bangalore next morning with way more convenience. However, I am ready to stick to the original plan if the Nainital experience gets hindered, and this modification seems 'Too Rushed'. Please suggest.
3) Please let me know some good hotel names & reliable driver contacts.

A bit hectic for my liking. I suggest that you completely avoid Nainital, unless you love traffic snarls and diesel fumes , which I'm sure you don't. I would actually do the trip like this Shitlakhet - chaukori (2 days with Patal Bhubanswar visit on second day) - Munsiyari ( again couple of days )- Binsar -back.
For stays you can opt for KMVN properties. There is a dedicated thread for reliable drivers, I suggest you do some R&D in the Uttarakhand forum.

I was already in two minds about Nainital. I will omit that part & make the necessary changes on the lines of your suggestion.

As you plan trip in Feb, so you may not have same issue in Nainital, rather it will be good to visit.

If you want to stay in nainital, choose remote area in nainital like kilburi
