Jim Corbett has many good hotels, including chains. The jungle is anyway beautiful so not sure what is your hesitation at Corbett.

I know you get vacations in summers because it is too hot to sit in the classes. And that is the only time for holidays.
But - Nainital is not the hill station it used to be and it would be hot there.
Rishikesh is no hillstation at all and it would be hot there too. Also 3 days in Rishikesh and Haridwar would be a bit more than usually necessary.
So if your itinerary is not fixed, I think you could ask the experts around to tweak it for you. You have sufficient time to have a good time.
Do let them know your interests, if possible.

Hi Jayanna, it is safe to stay in FRH, but normal precautions apply everywhere. I am so sorry I have no idea about the route!

Hello Jayanna,

Its safe to stay at FRH. Mudiyapani is outside the core area of Corbett Tiger reserve. Nearest town is Kotdwara and the Reception center is at Lansdowne. Please contact the reception nos of CTR Ramnagar 05947 - 251489 and they will be able to guide you better.

Have you already booked your safaris and jeep.

We are booked to stay one night in Haldupurao and one night at Mudiapani in the third week of May.

In May 2009 we stayed one night at Dhikala and travelled from Nainital to Ramnagar (reception center for Dhikala) by bus via Kaladungi.

Wish you a sighting full stay

Mudiyapani is part of the CTR just not the core area. You will be in the jungle. please see the zone map attached.

Its very difficult to get accomodation in any of the FRH as this is peak time for indian tourist and even accomodation at Mudiyapani is considered lucky.

Please do not cancel it.

Best Regards
Mani

@Mani - Thanks for your valuable feed back!

However, Halduparao FRH is have one vacant room at present! Whatz your suggestion ?
Why I am reiterating this means I will be coming from Nainital after 2 days visit & immediately by 14th evening I should be in Haridwar. So I am tensed due to connectivity issues. Please guide

Thanks again!

Jayanna,

If you have booked online, no cancellations are possible.

You will arrive from Nainital on 13th Morning and will leave on 14th Morning. Is this correct.

This is a bit difficult since there is no direct route between Nainital and Kotdwara/ Vatan vasa Gate/ Mudiyapani. You will have to travel to Ramnagar and then from Ram nagar to Vatanvasa/ Mudiyapani and this stretch could take 3-4 hours. Please check this information with reception at Ram nagar or with your gypsy driver.

The travel time ex Nainital and towards Kotdwara/Rishikesh is less for Mudiyapani and more fro Halduparao.

All the best
Mani

@Mani- Yes what you said is right (from Nainital on 13th Morning and will leave on 14th Morning)

You have given me very valuable input. Shall I cut short sight seeing in Nainital by 1/2 a day like I should settle down in Ramnagar on 12th. This will help me to go
Mudiapani FRH without much hiccups on 13th Mrng? On 14th I can start early morning from FRH to next destination Haridwar to reach by evening.

Your opinion will help to re-draw my itinerary. I will be reaching Nainital (Kathgodam Rly Stn) on 11th.

Kindly give your thoughts!

Thanks again,
