Adding with Jitu'ji...
Two time I travelled this distance from Kausani at early morning but never reached Munsiyari in day light...it took almost 11/12 hrs...last week a good source of mine informed me road after Thal is not in good shape due to heavy rain.

6. Chaukori to Patal Bhubneshwar then proceed towards Binsar(40+ 110km)...
7. Binsar S/S...Proceed to jageswar(50km) after lunch proceed towards nainital(90km)...

We will be 8/9 people ...So we will take a Travera(as xylo/scorpio/innova won't fit)...what could be the probable car cost per day...
If we stay Day 3 at Chaukori...Can we see patal Bhubaneshwar & then proceed towards Munsiyari on day 4.. Day 5 at munsiyari...
day 6 munsiyari to Binsar (Can it be possible??)

You may consider this arrangement:
Kausani-Chaukori-(with Patal Bhuwaneshwar)Munsiyari-Binsar

Car rates depend on car model

So the below plan is good?? We will be 8/9 person... So probably travera/qualis would fit our bill....

Day 3: possible but little hectic.

Tips: a) start very early and have your lunch at Udiyari road side Dhaba.
b) don't tempted and hopped to Birthi Falls if its close to evening. Leopards are frequent there. Enjoy the Falls while returning from Munsiyari

Day 6: possible but reach Binsar Check Post before 5pm

Hello from Switzerland. I hope someone can help me.

We will be in New Delhi on 26th of February next year. We want to do the following:

1) New Delhi to Jim Corbett NP (2 nights)
2) Jim Corbett to Binsar (2 nights)
3) Binsar to Munsiyari (2 nights)
4) Munsiyari to Almora (1 night - picked because it seems like halfway)
5) Almora to New Delhi (seems like a really long drive)

This is a rough plan. We don't really have that good of an idea on the distances involved. So, not much is set in stone. Any suggestions for tinkering welcome and greatly appreciated. The only musts we have are:

1) Definitely want to go to Corbett.
2) We need to be back at the New Delhi airport by 5:00 PM on 6th of March.
3) We like to travel off the beaten track.
4) We are physically fit and do lot of trekking. However, that is not really our biggest goal for this trip. However, a good suggestion of a day hike is always welcome.

Thank you!

Have you done your bookings for corbett? Because if you haven't - high chances that the safaris are sold out and a visit there may not prove worthwhile without the safaris.

Dear all,

Following is my itinerary for Munsiyari Dec 2018 please give me inputs/company

26th Dec - Kathgodam---Kausani---Chaukori (Night stay - are there camping grounds?)

27th Dec - Chaukori --- Khuliya top, Munsiyari (Camping there for the night)

28th Dec - Minsiyari --- Mukteshwar (Night stay - Any camping options?)

29th Dec - Mukteshwar -- Kathgodam (END)

Need the following information,

I have a complete professional camping set with me, i know one can camp at Khuliya top, but can anyone help me on CAMPING at CHAUKORI/MUKTESHWAR

Are there any other pitstops more beautiful than Kausani/Chaukori/Mukteshwar (though beauty is subjective i am looking for a more grander view of the snow caps - Nanda devi/Thrishul/Chukamba)

Kindly help me out - i am a solo biker - will bike on a thunderbird, if anyone is interested they can join me as well! do reachout

thanks

Hi,
I have planned Nainital-Ranikhet-Kausani trip on Feb 2019 with my wife and 3.5 years old kid. My itinerary:-

15/05/2019 - Kolkata to Delhi by Flight and take Ranikhet Express
16/05/2019 - Kathgodam to Ranikhet (Night Stay at Ranikhet)
17/05/2019 - Ranikhet to Kausani (Night Stay at Kausani)
18/05/2019 - Kausani Stay
19/05/2019 - Kausani to Bhimtal (Night Stay at Bhimtal)
20/05/2019 - Whole day Nainital. Night stay at Bhimtal
21/05/2019 - Train from Kathgodam to New Delhi by Shatabdi

Since we are only 3 including a child, I would not like to travel much so skipping Chaukori, Binsar etc. Keeping aside those along with Munsiyari.
Any suggestion on this itinerary or any addition/modification would be appreciated.
I have few queries and need some information:-

1. Do we need exclusive cab for total tour (16/02 to 21/02)? Or we should hire a cab for 4 days from Kathgodam to Bhimtal (16/02 to 19/02) and book another local cab to roam around Nainital on 5th day and another cab to drop to Kathgodam only on 6th day? Would that be cheaper than booking for entire 6 days?
2. What would be the approx rate for cab hiring on February? Is there any chance for off season discount if not pre booked?
3. Will February be very cold for 3.5 years kid?

Any other thing I should consider?
Thanks in Advance.
