Hi all, I along with my husband and daughter are going to Haridwar on 15.10.18 morning and we have 8 days 8 nights to explore char dham and we are healthy age early forty and my daughter is 10 years old. I want to know which route we should take, how will be the weather then and we want a budget tour. Can you please design my tour plan day by day that I can book hotel on that place as per your guidance. What will be the cost of the tour approx if I take private car to save time? Most heavy woolen clothes will be needed? Please help. We have return ticket from Lakshar on 23.10.18 morning..
Thank you

Hi Sharmistha,

Perhaps it's too late, and i hope you have already chalked out the plan. Here are a few pointers:
A typical Chardham 'pilgrimage' follows a certain order: Yamunotri-Gangotri-Kedarnath-Badrinath. The distance between them are a lot and Yamunotri and Kedarnath require walking the distance (although other options like pony/doli are also available).
The weather should be good around that time.
You will get plenty of buses plying too all these locations (or the nearest motor heads) and a lot of lodges, if you want to keep it a budget trip. A more convenient way would be to book a cab from Haridwar for the entire trip, I inquired last year, and they were quoting around 3000-3500 per day for a 7 seater. Kedarnath won't have a lot of accommodation options, you can contact Bharat Sevashram at 07253019017 for accomodations.
