Hi guys,

I'll be in Uttarakhand and surrounding states during May/June and am wondering what people think are the better longer treks. Most of the treks I have seen/read up on last 3 or 4 days and I'd like to do at least one longer trek (7 or 8 days minimum) to really get in the swing of it. Any suggestions?

Cheers,
James

You can attempt Milam Glacier trek..Total distance of trek is around 115-120km...It can be done in 6-7 days ..
Else there are lot of expedition/treks which can be done in 7-14 days..

A high altitude pass would be nice. I did the Annapurna circuit a few years ago and the pass in that was absolutely amazing. I did get altitude sickness at ~ 3500 m asl though - nothing bad, I was fine after a rest day at the altitude, but am a bit cautious about signing up for anything too crazy because of that. Though I suppose its just something to work out with trekking partners (how long to wait for effected people, etc), and don't sign up for a organized trek with a super strict itinerary?
