Excellent photographs, brilliantly captured. I also liked your review of Ranikhet as well as Kausani Hotels where you stayed. Similarly, I would like you to post your review of Pahargaunj Hotel, your driver hired by you during your trip, hotels at other locations, food, distance covered, cost etc. This will be very helpful for the future travelers. Thanks.

While returning to hotel room after dinner, go to hotel roof for smoking, see the beautiful view of Moonlit Himalayan range.

As I do not have any tripod, I rest the camera on the side wall of the roof....so could not made good composition....take some long exposure shots....this is one of the best.

This is my first ever long exposure shot !!!!!

Moonlit Himalayan Range - A view on the Full Moon Night

At around 9.30 night, go to bed for a hope of beautiful tomorrow !!!

@siddhartha
I really appreciate the snaps you posted here.Panoramic view of Himalayan range really superb and the indication of mountain pic really help us to identify the correct peak. From Ranikhet, you got excellent view of most the mountains.
Earlier,I know the best view points are Binsar,Chakori,Munsiyari and Kausani.I am just amazed what a view you got from Ranikhet.May be position of your hotel is great but picture quality is really awesome.
Just asking one question when you visited "Land of God" as date is not given(may be I overlooked the date info)?Seems you visited in October as your first post was Nov 2012.

Dear Asish da,

Thanks for liking my photographs. I will give my review of each of the hotel where I stayed during my trip.

Pahargaung Hotel was very basic....they charge only Rs 400 for 8 hrs stay...forget the name of the hotel.

The name of the driver was Pan Singh.....He was a very good young man of 30........I lost his number because my sim was corrupted before make a copy of his number in my phone memory.......The charge was all inclusive Rs 1700 per day for Alto for the entire 11 days trip.

Day 6 : 30th October 2012

Today We have to travel a lot to reach Munsiyari, a distance of about 195 km from Kausani, so we get ready early in the morning and started our journey before 7.30 am

Within 1 hour we reach Baijnath Temple - A 12th Century Temple which lies in the Katyuri vally, 19 kms from Kausani and 26 kms from Bageshwar.

Situated on the bank of Gomti, at an altitude of 1126 mts, “Baijnath Temple” is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

It houses a famous temple complex, dating back to 12th and 13th century. The main 10 th century temple houses a beautiful idol of Goddess Parvati. Dedicated to SivaVaidyanatha, the Lord of Physicians, the Baijnath temple is actually a temples’ complex built by the Katyuri kings with the idols of Shiva, Ganesh, Parvati, Chandika, Kuber, Surya and Brahma.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are married here.

Now it is a PROTECTED MONUMENT by Archaeological Survey of India.
