I'm leaving Nepal tomorrow, heading for Jaipur. Some time around lunchtime I hope to cross to Banbasa and get a bus to Bareilly. I've a train at 6am leaving for Jaipur and I'm wondering if there are any cheap (all I need is a room with a bed and a door that locks) rooms near the railway station? Another option would possibly be a retiring room, but I think I'd get there too late to grab one.
Excuse the last minute posting, but I've only just managed to dig out my log in details!

Why not book a retiring room online.

This link could take you straight to the booking site for retiring room. You will need your PNR to check for the availability status. I couldn't check for the lack of a PNR no.

According to https://www.goibibo.com/hotels/hotels-in-bareilly/ you can get a bed in a dorm room at Jagrag for 250rs.

Not sure if that helps?

Thanks guys. The problem is that I'm a "foreign tourist" as as such I've had issues with bookings through goibibo etc Al - many of the budget hotels don't accept foreign tourists, but make no mention of it on the website! I had major issues in Lucknow when I was there, there were no shortage of places but I only found 2 that would take me - free had a rodent problem the other was way, way overpriced 😐
I came across the Jagraj place online and I'm currently trying to call them.

The reason for that is that the guesthouse has to register the foreigner with the police within 24 hours which is seen as a major hassle if it is only for one guest who does not bring much income. Failing to register makes them subject to bribe situation. That is why guesthouses not much visited by foreigners decline accepting them.
