Hi,
Visiting Ooty and Coonoor on 26th of this month. Heard that staying in coonoor is a better option that staying in ooty if we wanna get close to nature and prefer peace. So just wanted to ask about the possible options of stay/homestay in coonoor. Budget is around 2-2.5 k. Please, any help would be very useful.
And can u mention a brief itinerary for roaming around in ooty and coonoor.
Leaving bangalore on 25th night. Reaching on 26th morning. Getting back of sunday 28th morning.

Have you had a chance to go through the similar threads that appear at the bottom of the page when you click on the link of your own thread? Here they are: http://www.indiamike.com/india/tamil...oonoor-t51658/ and http://www.indiamike.com/india/tamil...onoor-t103359/.

You will likely get far more responses if you form a rough itinerary and put it out here for other IMers to chime in ....

just my 0.02 ....

Earlier this year we went to Coonoor since we want to experience the toy train and thought that early February Ooty would be to cold. We stayed in hotel Vivek in Upper Coonoor.
For 1300 rs. we have a room with a balcony and a separate bedroom. Beneath us are the tea plantations.

We hired a car (1600 rs) for a daytrip. In the morning we visited amongst others Lamb's Rock, Dolphin's Nose. Our driver explained a lot about the flowers and the tea.
In the afternoon we went to Kotagiri and Kodanadu view point.
