Hi! First time trekker here, looking for trek partners for Har ki doon trek in mid-October. Dates are flexible, preferably between 12-21 October. As of yet, we're two 21 year old students, but my friend is on the fence due to fitness issues. I'm looking for a 4-5 person team at the most. Since the route is pretty straightforward and I'm short of cash, we'd be going without guides or porters. Anyone interested?

Really? That does not seem legit, or logical, could you please link some authentic official source of this information?
If you find my posts confrontationist, please bear, I am an old frustrated guy who has nothing better to do than sit on rocking chair and curse the world whole day

I am not sure if any notification was issues in this regard. You may visit website mentioned above for obtaining online permit, there it is mandatory to mention local tour operator/ Guide.
Even if you do not opt for online permit. At forest check post they did not allow without a local registered guide. (Registered guide means one having certificate from NIM)
