Hello All,
I am planning a trek to Rupin pass in First week of September this year.
Can Anyone help me with few of My doubts :

1. Can this Trek be done Solo. without any Guide or porter ?
2. I am planning to carry a Tent, a Sleeping bag and other stuff.
Please tell me what else would I need for a Solo trek.
3. Do I need to pre-book a hotel or anything before reaching Dhaula and other destinations on the way or home stays are available there ?
4. On the trek what are the food options I can use while trekking and Camping .
5. Is transport from Dehradun to Dhaula Frequent. How do I get to Dhaula?
6. How Do I reach Back to Dehradun From sangla .
7. Any point that I am missing .

Thanks, Happy Travel.

From Sangla you can catch bus to shimla and can reach Gurgaon via Chandigarh. I does not make sense to go to Dehradun again.

Hope you have already gathered basic information of the route. You may refer previous threads about rupin pass.Such information are also easily available on sites like indiahike.(https://indiahikes.com/rupin-pass/)

There are few villages on the route like sewa jiskun where you will get accommodation, rest of the part you have pitch own tent and cook food.

I can send my packing list including basic medicines, food stuff etc. PM facilities probably not active for you at this stage

Ok, now I assume you have already gone through the information available on the internet and now asking practical info. related to the Rupin Pass. I will take some little more time to answer your specific questions so that they are helpful to you in the best possible way by cautioning you but not demoralizing you at the same time. Will get back to you soon...

His last visit to India Mike was yesterday at 10:22am - wouldn't call that leaving India Mike's'.

At times people are busy with their stuff and can take time to respond (in the rare case, may not be able to!).
Sar Pass Trek , Rohtang, Munnar, Badrinath Kedarnath, Vaishnodevi, Goa, VOF, Kedarkantha, Kuari Pass, Brahmatal Trek

I am waiting for your PM facilities to get activated. Would not be appropriate to post trivial issues like packing list etc in open forum.

Meanwhile you can refer indiahike schedule, they keep it easy to suit trekkers with average fitness. You may squeeze it based on your fitness. For example one can straight away move to Ziskun village in first day of trekking.

Since you are planning to go there in September first week, be prepared for large crowd on the trekk. Indiahike moves with a group of more than 25 trekkers and have back to back batches in September.

Prior booking for home stay is not a good idea, you will get it.

You may take a final call of trekking solo or not after reaching ziskun. By that time you will be the best judge of your energy level and prevailing weather conditions.

By the way this is not a highly technical trekk where you always need a guide for survival

PM shall be activated in due course of time automatically.

You can contact kavita484, she is planning to go there in September and searching for guide.

I was on long leave last month itself somewhere near to this place only. However, if I get leave again (remote chances though), would love to go to rupin pass.
Meanwhile keep posting about your plan and preparation.
