Repair of trekking shoes

Hi,

I purchased my favourite trekking shoes from ASICS during my travel to Japan. Great feet comfort. I can wear them all day and not feel tired. Totally waterproof.

Few days back adhesive that holds tip protector arc to main shoe body has become weak and tip protector is detached from shoe body.

I want to know what make of shoe adhesive can I use? What make can I use in India?

DIY is never going to give the strength of factory adhesives, which are set with heat and pressure.

That warning said, Shoe Goo is the best available for home use. Amazon India has it. But don't expect years more life.

If a recent purchase, try to take them back and see if ASICS will address the issue. Otherwise, depends on what you use them for. They are finished as multi-day trekking shoes, if they ever were that. But, you can wear them for day hikes on dry days or city use you likely experienced in Japan - as many as you have in Delhi...
