Across zanskar (lamayuru to darcha) trek

HI All,
Is it possible to do this trek now staying in homestays every day ? Any advice much appreciated.

No, I don't think so, because there are long stretches there with no villages or habitations. But maybe some people set up temporary seasonal rest stops along the way, I don't know.

There are other posts on this, with, I think, the same advice,search around.

Before the roads this was a trek following nomad/village trails at best but not a route linking villages. ie you would follow it going from Padum to Lamayuru because you wanted to visit your sister, not because it was a trade route. Hence no village staging posts. The route from Lamayuru to Padum does go through villages and so there may be homestays but after Padum en route to Shingo there is nothing but campsites, which may or may not have parachute tents open.

The road will encourage dhabas, but why do you want to walk a truck route???
