The 1st Test is under way at the Kotla and India is struggling, bowling & batting!

With such a strong batting line up and a home crowd on a holiday Monday, they are crumbling (after some good starts) with only The Wall offering some resistance. Who was that making just 7? So much hype.Captain cool lasted 4 balls and the Very Special one just 5 (probably rusty and keeping his best for Australia - he just needs to perform well enough that he will get selected). I say, bring Kohli in place of Yuvi.

Ashwin & Ojha bowled their hearts out, but, the "pacers" were pedestrian.

Cheers

PS: I wonder how Gayle would fit into this team if his problems with the board are ever resolved.

India fold for 209 - I am sure they will bat much better in the 2nd innings.

MSD does have tremendous confidence in his fast bowlers - starts the WI 2nd innings with Ojha - what, is this a Test match he says? "I thought it was a T20 game"

Cheers

Captain Cool's magic is working - he brings in Ashwin for over 2 and a wicket falls.

That's why they play the game.

India are set 276 to win by the WI.

Very interesting Test match - plenty of time and India's batting lineup should be able to make it. Would be great if SRT makes his 100th hundred in this victory.

Cheers

If Sehwag fires no target is ever big.

And if he does, I will be surprised if SRT even gets a chance to bat.

And if SRT bats, can he score a century in the 4th Innings? I guess you know the answer, statistically speaking!!

Saugata

What SRT can do and what his statistics show are two different things

I hope he does score a century actually to get rid of the proverbial "monkey on the back"

I agree - he is a phenomenal run accummulator no doubt. But I will personally (yes, only personally )put Laxman and Dravid ahead of him in regards to the number of match saving innings.

I guess there is not much scope for him to score a century in this match, so it seems after the end of Day 3

But his 100th will eventually come very soon. Its just a matter of time - we all know it

ODI Series

India's 2 new fast bowlers see them home in the first ODI.

And India's 2 younger Batsmen Kohli & Rohit take India home convincingly in the 2nd ODI,chasing a big total under lights is never easy.

The WI selectors did some odd things - they should have kept Braithwaite & Kirk Edwards in the ODI team.

Ravi's batting was fantastic.

The new bunch of Aussie fast bowlers are impressive - they could give the Indians some trouble.

Good to see Pontu and Haddin get some runs to save their skin.It is still too early to dismiss them - I think they do have a couple of years of good cricket left in them.

Cheers

Pat Cummins is injured and will not play against India . This series is getting interesting, India needs their top order to fire if they have to win this series.

Viruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!

Virendra Sehwag becomes the second man to get a double centry in ODIs, and is currently not out at 215!!!!!!!!!!

Sachin's record is smashed...and IMO, if there's any mortal who can beat this new record, its gonna be Viru himself.

Take a bow, Viru! Absolutely gem of an inning. Stunning stuff this.

Viru was awesome. He did live dangerously, but, that is Viru.

Magnificent in all ways.

Both ODI "double-tons" in Madhya Pradesh - heard it is the same curator!

Sachin has another record: "Slowest double hundred in an ODI" !!!

Cheers
