Hi,

I am traveling to South India for 6 weeks at the end of next month.
I plan to stay in budget accommodation through goa, kerala etc.
Do you know if most budget rooms will have a tv which will show English football? I presume the games will be on all the normal cable sports channels.
If not will there places to watch really late at night.some games will be on 2-3am? My last option would be streaming on the net. Will internet cafes/cafe in the hostels/guesthoouses be open all night in general.
I know this is a sweeping question but any experience would be great.
Thanks in advance

From my limited experience, I found that you'll have limited access to football. I set up Sligbox and watch it over the net, but I didn't have a huge success as I found Broadband speed to be slow for streaming where I was far west of Gujarat, and in part of Surat I was staying in.
Idle mind is a Devil's workshop.

It also depends what league you went to watch? I had no trouble ony any trip watching Arsenal but the Bundesliga may be harder to find!

Yes,
Most budget hotels have TV's. EPL would not be a problem as it is aired on Star Sports and ESPN. Champions League will be on Ten Sports (which is little bit tough in some budget hotels also depends where you stay.) Make some friends where in you go to pub or sports bar to watch them live on big screen.
I do follwo the Reds and and Man United.
Regards
Aady

Does anyone know if this has gotten any easier? Or is anyone able to recommend any good streaming websites that will be accessible in India?
