Time to begin this - a bit of an early debut but then we are mad about cricket

India should have a fully fit side ; only worry remains Zaheer Khan. If Zaheer is in the team I predict a close series with an Indian victory.

The one big disadvantage for England would be that their fast bowlers will not be match winners. How much can Graeme Swann alone accomplish here ?

But then, to be fair, occasionally teams with only fast bowlers ( SA) have beaten India in India.

Your view ?

Zaheer - overrated - has been injured more than he has played.
Beating India in India with the same team England played will be lot tougher - still think 70-30 in India's favour. If Sachin/Yuvi/Sehwag is fit then it's India all the way.

Test cricket is always good. There is no shame in losing. But it is a shame the way we lost .I think england have good batsmen.they will make runs in first innings.harbhajan, zaheer fit for t20.zaheers physique doesnt allow him to be a workhorse .harbhajan can throw shotputs. no guile whatsoever. And we have praveen kumar ,sreeshant and munaf - wont cross 130 Ks and conditions arent suitable for swing .I am hoping for ojha ,ashwin and ishant to play.Surely if England make good first innings score it will tough to win the match.

Santos - I agree it will be tough for us to win if our bowlers are poor. One has to bowl out the opposition twice.

Point is - will it be an India loss then ? I think our batsmen will do better in India. The fast bowling will be less hostile and yes, most of our batsmen will be fit again.

yeah.the whole thing is we have to bowl them out twice cheaply. The whole thing rests upon how teams play in 2 nd innings when it turns and how much lead they concede in first innings.Effectively the whole test.lol.

As I will be in Kolkata on 25th October can anyone please give me some information about the likelihood of my getting two tickets (going with my daughter) to see England Vs India at Eden Gardens. Would it be better for me to try and get tickets in advance of arrival in India or can one just turn up? Any information such as cost, what type of ticket and which part of the ground to be in would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wink Well.......

Guys Guys Guys........
Team India in England were suffering due to absence of Gambhir,Sehwag,Yuvraj,Zaheer,H arbhajan.See all top players who can change the color of the game within an over were missing!!So it would be a totally different ball game.
@ ZAMBA After we make the English go RED,we would drill the Aussie butt like we did last time.

See you there Wokewy.

Try and get there a couple of days in advance re Tickets.

Never been to eden gardens before so can't help much.

You may want to go onto the BCCI site and see If Tickets can be Purchased in Advance or maybe the Bengal Cricket Association site
and see whats going on.

Will you be hanging around for the T20 on the 29th ?

Have you decided on where your'e staying as yet ?

Here is Rahul saying that yes, our bowling needs a tune up.

On a sombre note here is a homage to our last cricketer from England http://www.thehindu.com/news/nationa...?homepage=true
