I first tried posting this at IndiaDivine.org but those forums appear to have been defunct for about a year. I'd already tried answering it by Internet search & online references, so was hoping someone would have had a clue from Lakshmi temples visited in India:

I have been doing a simple Lakshmi agnihotra in my household once or twice a month, and was wondering if there is a day in the month or half-month of the Hindu calendar which is favourite of Shri Lakshmi (like Chaturthi for Lord Ganesha)... since it would seem logical to perform the agnihotra on such a day.

thank you, I hadn't thought of days of week but remember now from my own travels (seeing that Durga puja was also done on Fridays, when Devi in all Her aspects is worshipped). Also there is confirmation in these articles:

Lord Shiva is worshiped on Mondays.

Lord Hanuman is worshiped on Tuesdays.

Lord Ganesha is worshiped on Wednesdays.

Lord Vishnu is worshiped on Thursdays.

Goddess Durga and her avatars, including Goddess Lakshmi, are worshiped on Fridays. It is a day to worship all the avatars of God in unison.

On Saturdays, Shani Dev, Lord Hanuman and Goddess Kali are worshiped by devotees.

Lord Surya is worshiped on Sundays.

This is a pretty good system to break monotony, but it can cause interdepartmental confusion on who should take up the devotees agenda, so better stick with one problem and one god at a time, this way everyone will be clear on their duties and obligations.
If you find my posts confrontationist, please bear, I am an old frustrated guy who has nothing better to do than sit on rocking chair and curse the world whole day
