If you don't want to put yourself through hell, then stick to science & don't mess around with chakra's & things you don't understand, you will regret it, it can lead to permanent psychological & physiological damage.

"....I've spoken with Jim by PM today, this isn't the place to get into a discussion about this, what's happening to Jim is dangerous & could cause him serious permanent physical & mental damage. It's usually caused by excessive Hatha Yoga Asana's & Pranayama but in Jim's case it's wrong meditation, lets leave it at that! KK "

So what happened finally to Jim, has his predicament abated or not.. Did he see a neurologist and get a diagnosis at all. The medical scholars would love to study such cases.

It hadn't up to May last year, see posts 68 & 72 here; http://www.indiamike.com/india/spiri...une-t147812/5/
Trouble is when this "going through HELL" happens to people they still have spiritual delusions of grandeur & imagine they are special & are awakening rather than "disturbed" no matter how much you prove or try to convince them otherwise. Hearing voices telling them they are special & instructing them to do extreme things doesn't help. KK

thanks for replying ....
no offence but its not the ans i am looking for.

Lots of people have something in their life and feel passionate about, but its not the case for me.......
i have already been through a lot so i don't really care right now.
its not that i think i am someone special or something, but i do feel there has to have some reason for living
and if i cant find any answer i will just live and get by as i have been till now.

and i can't .........no.....i won't stop just because someone told me to

Funny thing is I was just little hopeful that i might really get someone this once, who will help me.....
i Guess it won't be the case this time as well

Yes I know it's not the answer you were looking for.

You were right the first time, "you can't" it's got you now!

Sometimes we are blind when offered genuine help.

See you in HELL!!! KK

Kundalini did not do this to him.

Most probably he was already a patient of Bipolar disorder when he embarked his voyage with kundalini yoga. The disease remains undiagnosed in a large number of patients. During manic phase, with boundless energy driving them, they take up tasks other will not. It may involve any sphere like Sports, writing, music and what not; they start practicing these skills suddenly and very quickly start deluding themselves of achieving high degree ofproficiency.

He needs a good psych evaluation and the good news is that effective treatment options are available out there to contain the symptoms. I will be surprised if he hasn’t seen one after all those years of suffering.

You may be right, the symptoms are very similar. But speaking from my own experience, I've had a few very close friends with long term bipolar disorder & know a few people who have had Kundalini disturbances & there is a difference, they don't get the deep depression for long periods like people with bipolar do & they have usually brought the disturbance on by doing excessive Asana's & Pranayama, I seem to remember that in Jim's case he was using Buddhist rhythmic breathing exercises for going into a meditative state & had done this regularly for around 10yrs. Did they seek the help of a psychiatrist. There is a strong case for a thorough evaluation by an experienced psychiatrist in all such people. It is a great disservice on the part of the community to deprive them of professional help. Putting blame on kundalini isnít helping them in anyway. With continual professional supervision it is highly likely that a good number of them can get back to their near normal selves and remain productive and functional in their lives.

My own search has yielded a bunch of studies acknowledging the positive therapeutic role that yoga played on psychiatry patients.

We are doing a reversal here on this thread, arenít we with our accusation of yoga going rogue. So you may want to research on the role of psych intervention in all those latter patients that you are familiar with; such of those which are either real or perceived cases wherein yoga led them to psych condition. Who knows you may come up with some interesting findings and even write an interesting journal paper or a newspaper article. Needless to say you may have to spend a lot of time on telephone !!

Please believe me. KKJI is the one person in this forum who can instruct and advise on KUNDALINI, which may lead a person to neurological and psychological disaster. Please follow his advice, as he knows more about this than most of the Kundalini awaken persons. I stopped going after Kundalini since I read what he said and all those writings he quoted. I had believed that awakening of Kundalini means enlightenment, reading some authors; but he says it is not so and I believe him as he has told why.
