Is it possible to do Ranthambhore National Park as a day trip from Jaipur?

Does one need to hire a helicopter or is a Aston Martin DB8 suitable?

Im not sure about a day-trip, possible if you have everything arranged in advance. I've just been there, got a bus that left Jaipur around 3pm, got to the hotel around 9 that evening and booked the safari with them for the next morning. I then left for Jodhpur on the afternoon train that same day. There is no reason to stay in Sawai Madophur other than the park. There was a lot of talk about tigers but the only ones we saw were in the souvenir shops. Let me know if you spot any.

I don't think you can get to ranthambhore from jaipur and go on a safari. There are only two each day, the first one starts at 07:00 and the second one at 14:30. You could be intime for the second one, but I don't know if you can get back.

I did 3 safari's all together and spotted 2 tigers on my last one. Really was a great sight.

No, it is not a day trip. The roads are not good and the going is slow. Plus there is no point in going there if you don't have time to visit the park. Your chances of spotting a tiger greatly increase if you can do more than one canter or jeep trip. Everytime I've been, the group coming in as we are going out is all hyper because they've just seen a tiger, but we never have.
Reject violence.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Think we'll save Ranthambhore NP for our next visit to India. Difficult to get an idea of the road conditions and distances from afar. Sounded like a good idea after a couple of glasses of Aussie bubbly!
