Guys,
Plan to travel from Delhi to Amritsar then go back in the same day at night - 11.45 pm train to Delhi.

Should I take a flight from Delhi to Amritsar- that arrives at 9.45 am?
or
Should I take the Shatabdi that arrives at 1.30 pm?

I intend to cover Jalianwala, Wagah & Golden temple in that order
Assuming, 1 hear delay in flight and train due to fog.. which is the better option - I wud end up spending 3k more if I take the flight though and would have an additional 3 hours...

Mod Note : Please do not post using SMS abbreviations such as 'wud'.

Shatabdi could be a better option as it gets priority over other trains.

Remember, the flights also get delayed due to fogs.

Thanks Prakaant..

Arriving at 1.30, would it be feasible to cover Jalianwala, Wagah, Golden temple, Durgiana temple.

Museum, if time permits..

Departing train is at 11.30 pm from Junction.

Returning Shatabdi is at 16:55 Hrs from Amritsar.

If the train is on right time, you will have sufficient time by booking a cab. You will not be able to cover museum.

You may take next morning train if you wish to cover all the points.

No..no you misunderstood..

I mean.. Arriving Shatabdi at 1.30 PM ; Departing 11.45PM by another train altogether...

I am hoping I can cover all of those places..

If there is any train at 11:45 PM, it would be very nice, But I didn't find any at 11:45 PM on Monday at least.

Please try to book yourself in train first.

There are 1st AC 4 berths; 2nd AC 16 berths and 318 available berths in Sleeper Class at present.

All the places would remain opened on that day. You may include Wagah Border also. You may take return cab from the Golden Temple.

Question about half day trip in Amritsar

We are flying from Delhi to Amritsar then take taxi/car to Dharamsala the same day. I need some suggestion to see if it's possible to see just Golden Temple in a few hours. Since we have some luggage with us, need a safe place for luggage and trusted taxi/car service which will take us to Dharamsala. Any tips?

Thanks for any tip or help!

There is Clock room free of cost at entrance Golden Temple. Your taxi will come to Amritsar from Airport to way towards Dharmshala. You have option take taxi from Airport To Dharmshala or hire upto Golden Temple and from Golden Temple to Dharmshala can find better one as more available there.
Best Regards,
