Hello IMers,

I am reading threads for a month now but i am not able to make a choice...

I will arrive in Pune at the beginning of 2015 and i will work in Urse. I read many advices about KP or Vinam etc.. But regarding my job location, i am not sure about the distance and time it would take.

Does anyone have an advice to give about the neighborhood?

Thanks for the forum, and your future help,

Urse is more on the Pimpri Chinchwad side of the Pune City. Travel time from KP or Vimannagar would be 1.5 hrs. I would recommend you to stay in Pimpri chinchwad area. Travel time would be around 30 to 45 mins.

I think you are Talking about Urse ( Talegaon ) not Pune... If so then staying in pune wont be an option for you, try searching something near talegaon.

If your company is indeed in Urse (Talegaon), I work near Umbare Navalakh (Talegaon) and a number of my colleagues live in Wakad / Baner. It doesn't take them much more than 35 - 45 minutes to get back from work in an evening ( slightly quicker in the morning) and Aundh you could do in just over an hour.

If your coming out to India with family or children then that will play a factor also in terms of local amenities etc so if you have the option I'd take a bit of time to look around rather than rushing into anything in my opinion

It is bit outside of Pune, but not much, thanks to Pune-Mumbai Expressway. Talegaon would be closest, or else traveling from Wakad won't be a problem for car owners.
Beyond Wakad i would say it is very far. Strict no for KP and Vimannagar. That is completely opposite side. Traveling for more than 1 hour is not worth any job. Please get in touch with your company for any initial accommodation.
