Welcome to India!

Hopefully you'll be able to connect with someone who lives close to you.

Melissa,

In case you haven't already, make sure you trawl the 'net for "Pune expats" or similar.

Of course, meeting people and making friends can be hard work in any new city, let alone you've changed countries, different cultures and languages, etc.

So, keep up all your past-times / hobbies / interests - including the ones you've given up. Be brave, talk to strangers. Say "yes" to every offer. Get out of the house - a regular morning or evening walk may well turn up opportunities to stop and say hello to someone new; get to know a local shopkeeper.

Best wishes and good luck!
