Dear Members,

Greetings for the day.

I am an IT professional, and I will be joining CG in Talawade Pune in January 2015.
I will be relocating from Delhi.

I have been to Pune before (2007-2009) and that time I stayed near Sasane Nagar.

I have absolutely no idea about Talawade location, so I need some inputs from local experts here:

1) Is this area safe for family? Being from Delhi, I am a little over protective towards my wife and daughter.

2) Is it easily connected to main Pune via public transport?

3) Any good schools in the area, or Pune is the answer as far as Schooling is concerned?

4) What are the expected rent rates for 2-3 BHK apartments here. Also if anyone can point out some good societies here it will be a bonus.

5) Is the area good from investment point of view. Reason for asking this is that being in IT field, I may need to move to some other place in couple of years. So I want to decide by March 2015 that whether it would be better to purchase a ready to move in flat, or to stay in a rented accommodation.

Ideally, I would like to stay near my office so as to spend more time with family and less on roads (Delhi Gurgaon anyone !!!). Better to drive on weekends (that anyway I have to to keep family happy) than everyday.

Looking forward for some really helpful replies from you all .

Many thanks,
Sachin

I haven't been to Talwade but have seen adjacent Chinchwad. Those areas are rapidly developing.

1) Is this area safe for family? Being from Delhi, I am a little over protective towards my wife and daughter.
Relatively safer than Delhi. Many employees in my company live in that area.

2) Is it easily connected to main Pune via public transport?
Yes.

3) Any good schools in the area, or Pune is the answer as far as Schooling is concerned?
Yes. Many schools are a there in Chinchwad area.

4) What are the expected rent rates for 2-3 BHK apartments here. Also if anyone can point out some good societies here it will be a bonus.
12K+

No. Flat rates in Pune are exorbitantly high. Take some time (1 year atleast) to know about the area before making a purchase decision. There are lots of other good areas in Pune than PCMC area(Pune-Chinchwad Municipal Corp).
