I use Photoshop and Affinity Photo.
Since Photoshop has become very expensive with the rental model, I purchased Affinity Photo and have been toying with it, it’s great,

What do you use.?

Adobe had ( I'm not sure that they still have ) a "Student Teacher edition" of both Lightroom and Photoshop. If you are or one of your kids are a student , they used to sell full version softwares at a discounted price. I bought my Lightroom 4 for about 4k some 5 years back , then upgraded to LR6 for another 5k a few months back. Also bought a photoshop CS6 for about 9K about 3 years back but I have barely used it except for about 5/6 images in all these years. This way I could avoid the cost of Adobe cloud and the associated constant hardware upgrade , working for me.
