You should be able to program one of the external buttons, typically the volume key to act as a shutter when the camera is invoked. Suggest downloading a good camera app. See below for an example of a photo taken from a moving train - average speed 107kmph. Smudge is on account of the window. Taken today morning outside Jaipur.

I'm fairly certain I have a photo of the same board from 2007 Christmas break !!

Ah, found that board pic online (wiki) - it's 85.5 meters . Guess you missed the dot.

When i saw that place, i thought oh god, people run a marathon here in July!!

It's distaff here again...

We've posted hotel shots of Fuji-san, and sakura and momiji pictures of Fuji-san, but never a photo from the train. If you sit on the correct side and know when to look for it (35-40 minutes out of Tokyo) you can get some terrific views.

I was trying for something less elegant: how the mountain really looks in its environment.

Shinkansen going pretty fast here - probably 300 km/h (185 mph).

Photo right from the iPhone's camera: I neither edited nor straightened it - I just made smaller for IM. Do I still have to do that, it's been so long since I've posted photos.
