Risky job

A man shakes the monkey biscuit tree -
this morning in central park Jaipur. The trees bear fruit every March and are shaken to avoid attracting monkeys. The man works without harness or a safety net, about forty feet off the ground.

Help wanted - what app will do this?

Hello all, from distaff in Okayama

I looked over the shoulder of a fellow taking a lovely photo of a round cluster of blossoms and his photo was round shaped. It just looked great - and we see those rounded, pom-pom shaped clusters all the time now (somei yoshino sakura are the ones blooming now).

Do any of you mobile clickers know of an app that does this? Specifically one that works on the iPhone. I tried to find something on the app store, but didn't know what to call what I wanted and I kept getting things that were having me crop the photo after it was taken - this happened while the photo was being snapped.

Thanks.

Middle of nowhere

Our train has been stopped on its tracks by protesters supporting the Bharat bandh called today (2nd April). This is the view outside the window

Protesters block train. Police has arrived. They're shouting slogans.

More protesters are arriving in a milk delivery van. Most carry flags, some are aggressive. We have no idea if this will move.

Any damage to public property should be compensated from the bandh organizers and participants - no matter how noble the cause! The court rulings regarding this should be stringently followed, but the political class is coward and won't let that happen!

He seems to be maintaining radio silence now!!

Time to remind him, though on a battle field, he can communicate freely - unless internet services have been suspended! Now we wouldn't wish this for V_A to endure..

Am fine, the train has moved again, though very late now. The place was after alwar and before khairthal. Tonk phatak is in Jaipur city. Anyways this isn't a puzzle thread 😊

Thank goodness. Was looking nasty there. Glad you are ok. Why these people attack trains and buses I never understand. They will be complaining that their own service is not running the next day.

IM is back up so i can report. Apparently i escaped the worst of the protests (it was closer to rioting what happened through the north Indian states of UP,Gujarat, MP, Haryana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, etc.) - 6 people died, many buildings were attacked (including a police station in far away barmer), there were shootouts (not from the police), arson and general lawlessness. Our train had only three broken windows, and was two hours late. I watched later on TV all that had happened today, it was just plain sad and very upsetting.
