I'm bothered with a question. Is it possible for a sales or business development guy to carry on photography seriously? You know sales and marketing is a tough job, too much responsibilities, public relationships, phone calls, targets etc. Can he or she do his/her personal works with a peaceful mind? Can he/she manage the time for the photography project works? Can he/she live with the soul for creative works being in this kind of jobs?

When you take a selfie after being short of sales target and getting fired by the boss.
If you find my posts confrontationist, please bear, I am an old frustrated guy who has nothing better to do than sit on rocking chair and curse the world whole day

This is asking if it is possible to have a life as well as a job. Only you can answer that! And only you can say if your answer is right for you.

Depends if the job is serious or not.

Joking aside, if you make time to follow your passion for photography you will perhaps resent your job less.

Good luck.

All soul sucking jobs make creative financially unrewarding pursuits difficult, but not impossible. The lesser importance you give to your day job the easier photography will be.

I am also suffering from the same problem .

What ever be the nature / scope of the job, if it demands extra attention, time, devotion and generates lots of tension in mind; in that case it is truly very difficult.

I have just lost the passion and desire. It's really very difficult to make someone understand that how much pain it creates in heart and annoyance in mind especially when you find good subjects around.

Still I think, all these are just the periods of life, all of us will definitely be able to pursue our passion one day, so pls don't give up and just wait for the right time.

With best wishes...

Kuntal

I absolutely agree with Kuntal. Sometimes this kind of jobs make us hopeless, frustrated, sucks up the creativity too.

And by the word "serious" I want to convey "not just a hobby, may be it's about passion(though the word is overused nowadays), something more intense, enjoyable, and the commitment".
