In a few hours, it will be India's 70th Independence day. There's quite a bit of lighting on monuments here and other celebrations going on. I thought of sharing a photo of Albert Hall, Jaipur - taken a few hours ago. Do you have any of the celebrations where you are?

There's a lor of fireworks going on,, but there is also a lot of temple activity, so it could be religion.

Met god on the road tonight, and turned the other way.

There is a function at the house of Consulate general of India in Sydney. Flag hosting followed by The President's speech will be read by CG. This is followed by chai and samosa. This happens every year.
They have something similar in Canberra also as the High Commissioner is there.

India's 70th Independence Day

NMMC Headquarters

I had to go out of my regular route to take this photo. The local train would have also shown this from afar.
