In electronics one should go for newer version to get benefit of upcoming technologies.
I know this model (Nikon P600) is obsolete now. What I think is, the technology changes very fast and if I go for the latest one then it will also go out of date in a year or so. My initial budget was 7-8 thousands, then I pulled it upto 12k to get atleast few basic and useful features. I liked P600 because it has powerful 60x optical zoom, has wifi and has viewfinder too. However, its little bulky. If I go for new one I may not get all these features within budget. If you guys feel the offered price of 15k is high for this, please guide me, I can negotiate accordingly.

Yes, you should negotiate. And if doesn't agree, you may purchase it.

But one moment! There are other cheaper cameras with identical specs.

You should google to find it out...

I have a Canon SX700HS X30 optical zoom compact camera not to cumbersome as I carry it around with me all the time (I am no camera expert but like taking photos). Now there are newer models SX 710 & 720 around 20000 Rps in India but maybe above your budget.
