Hello,
I am getting black shadows in all 4 corners of my Nikon D5100 screen while capturing photo or viewing after shot taken. But the taken images are good when viewing in laptop. Is there some setting doing this, or the screen has become faulty?

My knowledge of vignetting extends no further than knowing what happens if I use too narrow a lens hood when shooting wide angle. But that shows up on the laptop too.

Did a quick search on Google and came up with this, which might give you some clues.

Hfot2 is right. Try and take at the higher end of the zoom (i presume you are using a zoom) and see if you still get it.
You can also get vignetting in some zooms, even without a lens hood.

I have reset all settings, changed lens, changed hood, but it still exists. Must be LCD problem.

This is correct and obvious. Why would anyone change the lens, hood, or even the zoom setting? There is no problem in the photos.

I don't have any plan to replace the screen for 4 black corners, but just want to know how much Nikon takes to replace a LCD?

Let the service center appraise the matter once. That should be around 250 bucks. LCD issues often generates through faulty wiring etc and that can lead to bigger issues later. Get it checked. If faulty LCD then also contemplate replacing asit may get completely dark during a trip leaving the body useless.

Like Somnath mentioned, do get it checked and fixed. The LCD issue is a bit nagging.
