quite many of you are pros in photography. So help me out..
I am graduating from point and shoot to a DSLR.
However my keenness apart the point is that i want to begin with a good begining level DSLR. So the budget is Rs 30,000.
What do you guys recommend?
My interest is low light photography.Nikon is my preference ,but other brands are welcome if they offer superior performance.
Thanks for the help guys..

since you told that you wish to get something around 30k. I suggested the options in that range.

Buy which ever Nikon you can afford.

You need to understand then, the importance of the glass - ie, the lens. For shooting in low light, you need fast glass. Regard the lens as the most important investment, which you will always have. The camera body is easily changed.

So, you need a lens with a large maximum aperture, indicated by a small f number, such as:

AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G MRP INR 15,200

AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G MRP INR 14,450 (note, on your DX camera, this will be the equivalent of 75mm focal length)
Gone.

That above poll needed at least three more buttons . Fuji, pentax and All of the above. All these manufacturers have extremely capable models to accompany the start of a photographic journey.

regards

somnath

PS : Please rectify the spelling of "Cannon" - DONE

Canon has some useful units as well.

Actually, I would recommend Pentax with the in-camera IS.
