Taking Pet from India to Europe
Hi Everyone,
I am new on the forums and have read many threads about taking pet from India to other countries. However, most of those threads are old and I am not sure if all of that information (and rules) is still applicable.
So, I am starting a new thread, so get information from someone who has recently done this.
Issue: Export pet from India to Europe (Bulgaria).
I know about some requirements which i think are still applicable.
1. Microchip on Pet
2. Vaccination record of pet
3. IATA approved pet crate.
4. INDIAN QUARANTINE CERTIFICATE from Animal Quarantine and Certification Service Station, Kapashera New Delhi
I have read on India Mike that there is a requirement for getting serological test done in Europe
### MINIMUM 3 months before the departure and MINIMUM 30 days after vaccinationblood sample(s) of the dog(s) need to be taken for a serological test
I am not sure if this condition still applies ?
I talked to Lufthansa. They said that I have to prebook for pet but payment will be done on baggage counter as 'Extra Baggage' in cash or with credit card. They didn't mention about testing to be done in some European Lab. I asked about that, but the operator on the line wasn't aware of that.
Can someone please guide me regarding this.
Best Regards
Dhaliwal

Please find attached all the rules to follow to take a dog to Europe.
And yes, you do need to get the blood tested in Europe.
Do not give up, it is not as daunting as it may seem
