Mod Note
Sorry to hear about your pet. Please do not write in SMS Speak. Instead of "u", write out the full English word "you". Instead of "plzz", kindly use "please". Instead of "becoz", write "because". Instead of "ur", write "your". Thank you.

That's very sad, they are sweet and friendly animals. But there are small-animal vets in India.

(and don't post in SMS/CHAT language, it's against the rules, and your posts might be removed by the moderators)

Sorry, to hear about your loss! It doesnīt matter how small or big your friends are, it hurts when they leave you!
Time will heal your pain, just be a bit patient!

Small pets are rare in India and so not many vets know how to treat them! And yes, guinea pigs are very vulnerable, even if they can live upto 10 years, not many make it to that age.

When I lost one beloved f(ur)riend, it helped me to overcome the pain quicker to care for my others, maybe it also could help you. If you donīt feel able to open your house and heart for a new one soon, then maybe it would be good to take some dogfood and feed your local stray dogs or join an animal welfare group in your area!

My thoughts are with you and Chotuu!

My condolences on your loss, OP.

Tough to lose a member of the family; somehow, the fact that animals behave with more dignity and integrity than humans makes the loss sharp.

Pet owners can really feel the pain. My oldest dog has a growth near the liver and has to be babied. It seems like the whole neighborhood has rushed up to the carriage and then been startled to see a passive fluffy dog inside. The looks on their faces are priceless. Enjoy the moments you get with your companions. Its like children, they enrich your life immeasurably and add suffering..

Re: my guinea pig died today.....:(;(

Sad, very sad. I once had a pet dog during my teens and once it died after living a fulfilled life of twelve years, I have never been able to muster the courage to get another dog. Now as my kids are almost teens themselves it seems that I have to get one for them, they keep asking for a dog all the time. It seems that they deserve their own golden years, their own heartbreaks.
Regards

This is an old thread, and two or three months late to even mark the anniversary of the passing of the un-named guinea pig at the sadly young age of 2.5 years.

But, anyway, best wishes to Biji for a speedy recovery
