hello!!

I had brought my cat over to the US from India,
but now am going back to India and am taking my cat with me.

The question I have is,
technically I am not importing my cat...I am just bringing him back. All my documents are indian...

would it still be the same procedure of an NOC or is there a simple way out?

Doesn't matter where the cat was born. You'll need a health certificate from a vet, rabies and (probably) distemper shots for the cat, and an airline crate. Maybe a sedative.

How long have you been out of the country, maybe that matters in terms of paperwork? Sorry, don't know for sure.

I have good results with Rescue Remedy for Pets for calming.

warning: useless post but..

If persons can get a PIO card, why not a CIO card?

Except for cats of Pakistani origin, of course, however pretty they might be.

I once flew with a cat entirely within the U.S., from one state to another, and I still needed all the documentation wonderwoman mentions.

I'm glad your cat was entirely within the USA. I don't like to see cats spread out over continents.

Not useless at all, Capt. I'd love to get CIO for ours! Heck, if my kids can get OCI why not their feline siblings!?
