You didn't mention from where.

You may directly contact TNT, FedEx, BlueDart, if they have local branches. They have their own blood sample dispatch facility. It will come cheaper than quoted price..

They might not have facility at Manali but they must be having at Chandigarh and Delhi.

You may visit their websites and talk to their HelpDesk... and/or their offices at Chandigarh and Delhi.

Hi

How did you send the blood samples for your pet , I checked the tests for Rabies Titter are also done in bangalore , as I have to take my pet to dubai so just want to know how can the sample be sent as I am residing in chandigarh. Is it only European Union certified labs or banaglore will also do?

Fedex should do it

My pet is based in Kerala. I am exporting her to australia via singapore. Using a relocation company (dogtainers) for the singapore to australia part but shipping her from india to singapore myself.

I have gone on the fedex india website and called their customer care. I spoke to a lady who said they DO ACCEPT dog blood samples IF you provide a vet certificate declaring it is a noninfectious sample and safe for transport.

This information is inconsistent with what my local fedex in thiruvalla told me. They said they can't do it. However the customer care lady recommended i try kottayam where they may be more knowledgable about fedex policy.

I will report back if i am successful with fedex india.

When I tried to send a sample of human blood I was told It had to go thru a hospital, and individuals cant send blood willy nilly.
Lord, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Fedex should do it

Called customer service again, they quoted me Rs 12000 to ship 4kg blood sample package to Australia. Must be accompanied by vet certificate stating it is non-infectious (as well as import permit to clear Australian customs - which you can get for free from Australian Animal Health Labs).

They said that I can book a pickup online so that the delivery boy will come to our house and we don't have to go via the local office which is confused about Fedex policy. Will test this out in a few weeks.
