Hi,

I'm looking for advice on how to send a pre-paid self addressed envelope to the USA. I haven't tried India Post yet because I'm not sure the folks nearby will have any expertise on this.

The opposite party will not accept cash in lieu and will require a self addressed pre-paid (or pre-stamped) envelope to send me the package.

I look forward to any experiences/advice you may have.

Have you tried International Reply Coupons? http://www.maharashtrapost.gov.in/ht...ostalchart.htm (scroll down to no.29)

This is what they looked like when I last used them some decades ago:

Thumbs up

Thank you both for your suggestions (and promptness). I'm quite intrigued by the International Reply Coupons!

I think this should be helpful.

I remember sending airmail letters abroad using India Post. They always reached their destination but we didn't know anything of its fate till we got reply to our mails. I've not used snail mail for personal communication for more than a decade but going by the link I've posted you can now track the status of your mail.

It's an old thing. I remember people using it in the mid 80s.

A world-famous scam was based on these coupons.
