What is the best way to safe keep our passport while travelling abroad, in the time of beach and trekking programmes.

A plastic baggie and a good money belt. They also make commercial plastic passport protectors for further protection against the elements and sweat. RFID sleaves add some electronic protection against scanners..

Good advice above, but always photocopy a version of it and all important documents, travelers checks, etc to your personal e-mail so you have a record of it. Though I'm sure they'll find a way to scam into that info.

Haven't done any travel yet but there's plenty of passport protection essential available in the market these days. I'd probably buy a ziplock and put all necessary documents there when I tour and a photocopy would beneficial too.
