I would like to take 2 old laptops- one is working and other's screen is damaged.
I want to take working laptop on my carryOn bag and the other one in checkIn bag. Is it OK to do that- permissible? This question is for both- International flights and domestic?

Thanks

why do you want to carry a broken laptop ? I thought the allowance duty free, was one laptop into India.

I agree with nycank, but it is also true that I have done exactly what you say. But I carried them both in my carry-on baggage and was just lucky that Customs didn't stop me and check. (nycank, it had to do with the capacity and functions of the old cracked screen laptop, and the convenience of the new tiny one that had limited capacity, so I wanted to keep both)

There is a saying - Do as I say, not as I do. How many laptops one carries, is a personal decision against available regulations.

That one is allowed one liter of alcohol into US has not prevented many of us to carry an extra from the nearby Islands.
