Dear Friends,

I am going to Betla forest this November end. We shall stay 4 days in Betla. I am very much addicted to photography. I have Nikon D7000 camera, nikkor 18-105 lens and nikkor 55-300 lens. My question is : while going inside the forest, will I get good chance to see some wild life? and should I enter the forest with my zoom lens attached to my camera? In November end, may I expect to see various birds inside the forest? Also, I have heard about the elephant safary and Zeep safary. Does they allow to enter the forest on walks because I believe to get real feel of the forest I have enter by walk.

I shall be highly benefitted with your experienced and valueable suggestion on this.

Thanks in advance.

Yes there are chances of Animal Sighting inside Betla National Park area. But both of your lenses are Zoom lenses . One of them must be attached to the Cam .. Otherwise how can you get the photos ?

Walking inside the National Park area is prohibited. It'll also be dangerous for you. You can only get out of the Jeep when you reach the Watch Tower inside the park .

Thanks Arupratan for your nice reply....actually by zoom lens,I mean 55-300 mm lens and not 18-105 lens........I am glad and excited to know that there are chances of Animal sighting.....but when I went to sunderbon, the watch towers were much crowdy and it ruined the beauty of actual forest feel...there also I could not enter the forest except watch tower by walk....hope watch tower at Betla would be less crowdy and will give me opportunity to see animals in their natural conditions....thanks for your information...

On the way to the watch tower there are a few open fields .. Chances of sighting are maximum in those parts of the forest .. From the Tower , I think you will get a nice view of the forest & do not expect much sighting from there .. If possible visit the Marumar Range also.. Not for sighting but to experience the beauty of the true dense forest. Happy Journey..
