Need some suggestions/ tips as my Parents are visinting my place at Bangalore for 15days and I have already planned one weekned for Tirupati, by Road and I am undecided for one weekend.

Planning to visit Munnar or any place where we can go by overnight journey by Train or any other place anyone of you can suggest. Planning to leave by Thursday night and back on Monday Morning.

Would like to mention that they had already visited Ooty, Mysore - planning for some Costal area or some place where Nature is at its best!!!

Why not visit Wynad. Kalpetta is nice and cool. The scenery on the final leg is great lots of wild animals etc.

Some years ago we had a very pleasant stay at the Green Mountain Cottage at Kalpetta .
You can read details about our visit in the February part of the Mainly the South journal in my signature.

As my wifes' parents live there I do not need hotels etc. The Woodlands Hotel looks clean and is central. This is not the original woodlands group as hotel is non veg.

How about Nagarhole? Elephants are wonderful as are the wildlife/birds on the river, which you can see from coracles/boats. Always a chance to spot tigers too. Kabini River Lodge offers a variety of accommodations.

Thanks Pani Puri.
Some one suggested me Kasaragod! Any Suggestions for this.

You could consider Hampi. It might involve quite some walking if you plan to climb the hills. Even if you skip climbing the hills it is a good option.

That is what I mentioned in the last sentence. Did you check about Hampi?

Hi, How many days should one allocate for Hampi.

Thanks and regards

aarosh Aug 21st, 2014 00:25

That is a tough question to answer. I would keep aside a minimum of 3 days for Hampi.

I am planning of covering Hampi, Badami, Aihole, Pattakadal and Bijapur in 7 days excluding travel from Mumbai and back during Diwali.
