I went to rishikesh. And started quad biking last season. Stayed there for 4 months.
I want to share few tips and explorations: (I will not talk about the know stuff
)
Places: 1. there is a virgin beach(its name is not virgin
) it's a pure white sand beach. When cross laxman jhula and walk towards neelkanth(try walking rather than taking a jeep) after crossing police chowki as you will move ahead after travelling 500 -600 mtrs.you will find a small board. And their will be a kachi road cutting towards left. Go down and down and you will find that beach.
If possible go in the morning 5 clock. I can't comment what you will feel.
2. As you go up the neelkanth road(15km from laxman jhula) after crossing Elephant brook resort thier is a waterfall. And below it is a pool. Water in the pool is crystal clear blue and it is up to waist level. In hot summer it feels heaven swimming in it.
If you didn't wish to walk take scooty on rent. u can cross laxman jhula using it. And

Hi Amber.
Thanks for sharing.
Went there recently. It was indeed serene and gave a great feeling.
Would like to add Beatles Ashram and a temple (whose name i cannot recollect), let me call it Jai Matake Temple, which lies on Dugadda road.
