ehalam,
I have just read the account of your trip - wish I'd seen it before our own journey to Kerala couple of months ago as it raises some very good ideas.
Thank you for taking the trouble to post; I'm sure that it will be an inspration to others to branch out that little bit extra.

Thank you, Ehalam, for writing your thoughts on travelling in Kerala. This post went far beyond a mere travelogue or a diary of what you saw: you have communicated some of your feelings and observations in an extremely thoughtful, sincere and sensitive way. I was especially taken by how you tended to compare and contrast what you saw in Kerala with what you knew of your home country. This is what I (and many I'm sure) tend to do when I am travelling abroad. As an Indian I was touched to see how genuine your interaction with our country was.

Just in time!

I came across your post just as I was planning my trip to North Kerela. You have pretty much covered the same route..A question, my husband and I are going in the first week of April, is Wayanad really worth it? for scenic beauty, that is.

Well, a bit late in posting this pic here but nevertheless the experience of attending the event and photographing the Theyyam was mind-blowing experience. I was in Iritty (Kerala) in the last week of March. Did my first solo trip in the process!

A friend had arranged for my stay in his friend's house in Iritty! Stayed for 3 nights and attended the events on 2 consecutive days and nights. Made some images but yet to process them all. One image which I happened to like, I am posting here!
