Property prices are soaring high in Noida; and have seen a steep rise in last 4-5 years. It would be hard to find a 2BHK in a good society in core areas of Noida. One of my friend took a house on rent in newly build society near City Center Sector 32 for 19.5K + 1K (society charges).

in Noida, it'll be hard to rent for 15k, unless you don't mind going into sectors further away from Delhi border, and near Ghaziabad border.
You can try sec.62, 93 122, 47, 56, 61. They are fairly decent and will be in 15-20K price range. (93, 122 are on the G.Noida expressway, and decent sectors, but not much populated yet compared to others) (61 is pretty good too, close to a mall and also a multiplex)

Alternatively, you can look into Greater Noida. Much cleaner, good roads, better water and electric supply, but security situation does not fare well even when compared with Noida.
As for price, you can get an apt. there for 12-16K 2BHK in sector Chi-Phi (not much populated yet) or NRI city (decent property). But if you do choose Greater Noida, and approach through an agent, try for Omega sector first!

happy hunting !

..for moving within noida, it is an issue if you dont have one. If you only need to go to Delhi from Noida and back, you're good.

You can also explore "Mayur Vihar" and Eastend apartment - These are well connected through Metro.

There are lots and lots of cycle rickshaws in Noida, and rupees 20 will get you most places. Then there are also auto rickshaws, and they are a bit more expensive, like 40 rupees minimum or so. You should try to find a place within a comfortable walking distance of the Metro stations in Noida, and you should be fine.

As you know, there are shops all over the place (and so you don't necessarily have to drive), plus most places to deliver also (like groceries). And the vegetable sellers come to the house.

And I think you can get a 2 BHK for 15K in most sectors, but don't expect the swankiest properties or much privacy in that budget. Try looking for a barsati in one of the houses - these are the top floor of the houses, and you get the roof access too. But it gets hot in the summers, but its wonderful otherwise. Good luck.

hey thanks guys for the info....I lived in S.Delhi around 7 years back, in a barsati no less....this time am looking for an apartment - doesn't have to be large or swanky at least neat and clean. I seem to remember in Gurgaon there was an area where a lot of call center people lived - Sector 56; was going to start with something like that. My girlfriend is Indian and I'm not, so since we are living in and all, I'd rather not have the owner of the apt too close by I plan on getting a car after some time....I've gotten very spoiled after having one for so long!

yes, without a car, it maybe a bit of a tussle. Autos though available aren't that recommended due to the nature of roads and driving in noida. But also the delhi metro is reaching noida, though it'll take time for the higher sectors, its pretty much already serving the major ones.

Also if you looking at gurgaon now, forget 15K then, the property prices there are much higher now.
Although you may get one near the delhi border in Dwarka for 12K or so. And the area is well connected by the subway.
